Editor's Quinny Zapp Stroller Review:
The Quinny Zapp is considered the world's most compact folding stroller, with a folded size of about 2 feet in length and 1 foot in height. Not only will it fit in any sized trunk, it also fits in airplane overhead bins, making it ideal for travel. Super compact size and a weight of 13lbs are just a few of the Quinny Zapp stroller highlights.Quinny Zapp User Reviews
Because the Quinny Zapp doesn't recline, Quinny recommends only using the Zapp for children 6+ months. If you intend to use this stroller earlier, the Zapp does come with an infant car seat adapter, which can only be used with the Quinny Maxi Cosi Mico Infant Car seat.
The Zapp's 6 inch wheels are constructed from solid rubber and do a great job rolling over smooth surfaces. Wheel size and lack of suspension will limit the Zapp's ability to handle the rigors of off-road strolling. Front wheels can be locked in the forward position or left to swivel 360 degrees. With front wheels in swivel mode and given the Zapp's short wheel base, turning in tight spaces is very easy. In fact, the short wheel base makes this one of the easiest tight space strollers we've reviewed.
Frame design is very advanced, considering the Zapp's ability fold to such small dimensions and come in at the 13lb mark while keeping capacity at 40lbs. Smart frame design also removes the standard rear axle, helping you avoid toe stubs during long strides, especially important for taller users. The seat is constructed from tough/easy to clean nylon. A five point harness helps keep your child secure. We found the canopy to be of adequate size, featuring a picaboo hole and two side windows for your child. Handlebars aren't adjustable.
A five point harness and foot controlled brake add to overall safety. The Zapp stroller's short wheel base doesn't allow you to hang any items from the handlebar, like the MacLaren stroller's. Doing so may put your stroller at risk of falling backwards, even with your child in the seat.
Folding the Zapp requires two hands. To do so, you lock the strollers brake, push buttons on either side of seat, fold down handlebars, push back of stroller and it collapses. The Quinny Zapp comes with a storage bag which features a built in strap for easy transport. Unfolding the Zapp is just as easy.
By the Quinny Zapp stroller is you intend to use at 6+ months (Or purchase compatible Quinny Carseat), intend to do a lot of traveling, looking to use mainly for urban environments, and plan on doing a lot of travel.
