Editor's Phil and Teds (Phil&Teds) Vibe Review:
One of the most anticipated new Strollers, the Phil and Teds Vibe is their latest top of the line release. Positioned to contend with the ultra chic Bugaboo, the Vibe offers unparallel styling, functionality and Phil and Teds well know reliability. The overall look is a lot trendier than the Classic, Sport or Dash but you can still tell that they're from the same stroller family. This is a real testament to the engineers at Phil and Teds, that realize if the underlying design ain't broke, don't fix it. That said, there are many improvements over previous models including all aluminum frame, which help shed pounds from its siblings, coming in at 22lbs. This weight class also helps Phil and Teds more aggressively compete against the Bugaboo.
New features also make the stroller more user-friendly. Among our favorites are the hand brake, allowing you to lock and unlock the wheels without removing hands from the handlebar; the removable, washable insert pads; the improved connectors, which make attaching the second seat much easier; the plastic foot tray, which is easy to clean; the adjustable handlebar; and the multi-position sunshade. The ride is very smooth, a noticeable improvement over the Sport Buggy. However, the Vibe Buggy does seem a little wider than its predecessor, sacrificing a bit in turning radius and nimbleness.
Colors are limited to the Red/Black, Black and Graffiti. The colors are clean and make this stroller run way ready. Assembly is easy; sure to be appreciated by fathers everywhere. If you're looking for a lightweight, state of the art doubles options stroller, be sure the test out the Phil and Teds Vibe.
