Orbit's modular stroller system allows you to adapt the system as your child ages, by offering a seamless transition from Orbit Infant Stroller to Orbit Toddler stroller. Just as with the Orbit Infant car seat, the toddler car seat can be moved from stroller base to car seat adapter ring. Some of the standout features include a quick folding mechanism, multiple seating options, docking system and use of high-end materials, among others. Its unique design is very recognizable and will definitely get its share of envy. The Orbit stroller is only available in two color options including brown or black. Orbit strollers aren't cheap, so be sure you take into account all upgrades to get you from Infant to Toddler system before you buy. Orbit offers a Toddler Stroller Seat, once your child exceeds the 22 lb limit on the infant stroller seat. The rain shield offers great coverage and is great during those nasty days nature throws at us. The ability to rotate the infant seat on the Smart Hub, circular docking ring, offers excellent flexibility. This came in handy when positioning the Orbit stroller next to a table and positioning the seat sideways. By doing so, you child is right up against the table and there is no need to place them in a dirty or rickety high chair.
Considerable drawbacks include the weight; coming in at close to 40 lbs for a single stroller is very chunky. While the seat padding seemed ample, it wasn't as ergonomic as other high end strollers we've reviewed like the Bugaboo or Mutsy stroller brands. The five point harness offers secure restraint, but proved to be a little clumsy to attach. As mentioned earlier, the Orbit Stroller System is also among the priciest models we've tested.
Purchase the Orbit stroller system if you're looking to a unique, high-end, stylish head turner that will grow with your child's needs. Due to size and weight, don't plan on taking this is your primary travel stroller if flying.
