Editor's MacLaren Volo Stroller Review:
The Volo is MacLarens entry stroller, but that doesn't mean it misses out on much of what makes MacLaren popular. Available in over 8 cool colors, you'll be sure to find one that's just right. The Volo includes the standard features including:
- Lightest MacLaren at 8.8lbs
- Shopping Basket
- High performance aluminum frame
- Water resistant hood
- Includes a rain cover
- Foot operated brake
- Famous MacLaren 5 point harness
- Washable, Removable seat
Even though you can adjust strap height like other MacLaren's, you only have one option when it comes to seat position, unlike the Quest Sport, Quest Mod, Techno XT, Techno XLR which feature up to 4 seat positions.
Lacking Features:
- No suspension
- Only one seat position
- Handles aren't adjustable
The wheels are constructed of the same solid/hard rubber that other models boast. Not being air filled means less maintenance and no chance of flat. You also won't find any suspension on this model, a feature only found on higher-end models like the Quest Sport, Quest Mod, Techno XT, Techno XLR.
What you do get is a great travel system stroller with the MacLaren history for quality. One could argue that this is the best model for travelers who care more about weight than all the bells and whistles. When you're carrying around all that extra luggage, you'll really appreciate the Volo's scant 8.8lbs carrying weight and built in shoulder strap. The stroller will accommodate children up to 55lbs and grows with your child's needs.
