Editor's Maclaren Triumph Review:
The Triumph is one step up from the Volo. Consider it the mid-tier MacLaren. It has a few extra features that make it attractive, including the ability to officially adjust to 2 seat positions. We say officially, because when tested, the recline position was determined by tension applied to strap on the back of the stroller. Technically there weren't any "Hard" increment stops, making the stroller adjustable to many different positions. The wheels are also ½ larger than the Volo's, possibly allowing it to go over more diverse terrain than the volo. The triumph is available in over 6 great colors, sure to meet anyone's style. This is not a jogging stroller and fall into the umbrella or light weight stroller category, great for Travel. The triumph also comes complete with an extra colorful harness to customize your ride. The Triumph includes all the MacLaren standard features:
- Light weight, only 11.5 lbs
- Shopping Basket
- High performance aluminum frame
- Water resistant hood
- Includes a rain cover
- Foot operated brake
- Famous MacLaren 5 point harness
- Washable, Removable seat
Along with all the great features of the Volo, the Triumph includes the following upgrades:
- Longer water resistant hood for extra coverage
- Adjustable recline positions, via adjusting strap
- 1/2 inch larger wheels
- Dual brakes
- Extra harness for customized style
The adjustable seat allows you to start using this stroller for children as young as 3 months and the strong design allows you to carry up to 55lbs. Depending on your child's growth rate, this should allow use until the 4 year mark.
Unlike the Quest Sport, Quest Mod, Techno XT, Techno XLR models, the Triumph doesn't have any suspension, nor does it have an extendable leg rest.
